    Default Low RPM DC motors

I'm looking for 2 or 3 low rpm motors (1 to 2 RPM max), 6 - 12 VDC, for use with lumia wheels & rods.

My Google & E-bay searches don't seem to be turning up much.
    Any sources / suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hi Stuka,

    Check out:

    http://www.sciplus.com/category.cfm/subsection/18

I've been ordering stuff from them for years. Get on their mailing list and get their catalogs. LOTS of good stuff.

    Another good place is:

    Enjoy!!

Hankscraft motors, not my favorite, but common and controllable.

    Hello Stuka,

Did you try searching for "Clock motors"

I did so and found a couple including the ebay link below...

Hey there! I have some globe motors which do about 30RPM at 12 volts. If you turn it to 6 or so volts, it will do the 1-2RPM you are looking for.

I bought two very low rpm syncronhous motors for a project way back, and only used 1 of them in the end. I think they were about 1/8" RPM and are 240V 50Hz.
Let me know if you're interested.

So what did you go with? I used a HanksCraft motor but I found its construction to be cheap and "plasticky". It was also bigger than I would have hoped.

These are the only thing I could find that are advertised as 12VDC, 1 RPM:

A little more expensive than I hoped, but I guess a couple won't break me too bad!

Do you have an online source for the gears, sprockets and drive chain you're using?
