Small laser system

Hi Guys,

I'm new here and I am looking to buy a low end laser, I was thinking of buying an Ares II RGY which is cheap but looks value for money?
How does this compare to something like the Medialas Spooky Blue 200 RGY. The difference in price is quite a lot. The Ares retails in England for 300 GBP while the spooky blue retails for 1117 Euro. I really think I would go with the Ares II.
One of the other lasers I looked at was a Laserworld RS300G but looking at the reviews I think I will stay away from them.

So anyway Guys just looking for something cheap and fun any recommendations!

basic question is what kind of software and galvos do those units come with?

While spooky blue is on the high side, 600$ gets you what spex wise? Post some numbers or a web link for what your looking at and we'll give you some suggestions. What kind of venue will you be using this in? And where are you located? We have enough members here scattered around the world that you might get a chance to go play before you buy.

I have an Athene I and Athene II and they are both decent starter lasers.
With that much price difference (between the spooky blue which contains no blue - Boooo) you just know you're gonna go for the Ares II.
You're just waiting for someone to say "Do it!"

I was bought a laserworld CS-400RGY 400 mW RGY ILDA at christmas, the green is tight and really bright ,wish the same could be said for the red(pargh) ,and the yellow what yellow , but ive used it 5/6 times now and everybody is impressed by it cost me 365 with p+p (so not to bad )as a my first ilda , next step is BLUE BLUE BLUE .. hope it helps .

i'll second that my birds dad looked at the 2 i have and went parghhh ,how much you paid for that ? ,then started to tell me all about this an that ,lol , sorry farther in law but i'm from the throw away gen and i cant be arsed right now , but i can see his point and in my later years i will make stonking 1 ,but not right now ,lol
