I really like my LW-50K scanners for the price. Probably the only good product from laserworld. They don't make them though. I wonder who does? After 2 hours worth of tuning, they make a great scan at 30K. They are not 50K scanners. The galvos don't generate any noticeable heat and the amps run fairly cool at 30K.

The only thing I don't like about them is the max scan angle. I'm gonna try and raise the gain a little more and see if they can handle it.

It would be interesting to know more about your software. Because the software seems to have some nice features to setup blanking- or colorshifting. Have you set any shifting values in your testscans?
The reason I ask is, because the ILDA-testpattern has some information about blankshifting (the 3 bars on top of the testframe). It is funny, but the result I can see in this picture is the same if I scan very slow (About 15K or less!!!) with a shift setting of zero.
If I scan faster, the lines shift to left (the short right lower bar disappears). If you increase shifting value, the bar comes again BUT the bar in the middle will no longer be displayed as a full line.
I can adjust what values I want - it is NOT possible to display the image of the blankshifting bars at high speed, like you show it in the picture.

So my conclusion: This pattern was scanned 16K or less.
Also the remaining patterns are suspect.
I cannot see bright corners in the "Laser Media" testpattern when scanning it 30K or more. But my scanners just make 35K. This could be the reason.

Feel free to correct me, if I am wrong.

i have mine set to 19K at a guessed 15 degrees i managed to have the blue circle entirely inside the square but there is a large tail at the start and end of it.

I have the software scale the image down by 10 % just to be safe

the scanners run with very little heat for prolonged periods no problems

i have posted some internal shots of the projector on the FTP.

I am sure i should be able to get way better than this surely

that looks like what the spaghetti blanking optomization does. that should not be on if scanning the ilda test pattern.

I translated that ... using a german to english online translator

and it came back with this.....

I'm assumes that someone targeted advertising

    Please mr laserworld

take this english phrase and translate it into german and repeat it to yourself

    I am a wanker
i can not believe that i like your scanners so much, and i dislike your customer service so much

Your company has a big problem ...

You will never be able to provide a profesional laser service because of your reputation

and you reputaion is being dishonest.....

all you need to do to redeem yourself is tell the truth

if you can do that ... the whole industry will respect you

    all the best .... Karl
