I have only ever built one blue ray with a PHR at 100mA which should be around about 90mW but its slowly dieting for unknown reasons...
    DL - Viper 75mW - Green (532nm)
    DL - 50mW Module - Green (532nm)
    DIY - 50mW - 12k Scanner - Green (532nm)

The problem with RGV projectors is that while 405 nm is good at "blueshifting" mixtures of light, it is very weak by itself. To get some brightness from it you will need to mix in 532 nm, but this gives a weird blue hue with poor saturation. In my opinion it does not look particularly appealing.

    I'm going for option 2

Roll on the day when 445 is more affordable (if it happens).

Thing is, they're not used in a bajillion optical devices such as the 405nm - so sadly I don't think it will happen (even though I want it to)

If they came down to the mid hundreds of GBP for say 200mwp; it would be good, as you don't need so much relative output for white balance (compared to 405 or 473).

The price was about £35 at the time, ($60)
and I bought them from Steve:

    GGW-H20L: http://www.lasersurplusparts.com/ind...products_id=45

they are out of stock, but I've heard these have the same diode in: http://www.lasersurplusparts.com/ind...products_id=70
