Default JDS uniphase 2111P-20sl PSU jumpers

    Hi Folks,
while trying to sort out my Spectra argon Ion ( see Tick... Tick.... Tick... posting) , I bought in a couple of JDS Uniphase PSU's (2111P gold and 2111B black) and a 2211-20SLE head. as they are newer, I think that I might give them some attention.

so first off can anyone tell me which pins of the remote socket I have to jump in order to get these PSU's to function.
    best regards.

Hav you tried SAM'S Laser FAQ? I'm not responsible for the uniphase section, but I think the majority of possible pinouts are there.

Minimum is pin 1 to 3, pin 2 to 13, and I believe 13 to 7 (EDIT: Thought I would clear this up. YES You will have two wires coming from pin 13). Pin 13 is a voltage source, voltage to pin 7 enables light mode, 1 and 3 are the interlock. and voltage to pin 2 allows discharge, if I'm remembering everything correctly.

Give that a try, it's from memory so if it doesn't work I'll dig out my manual

It's sunday morning here, and it's either paint the house or play with lasers, I guess the house can wait another year ! why can't life always be that easy !
    cheers again . Argon-ion.

    Just the opposite,
The more I get nagged by the wife & kids , the more I need to escape.
and painting houses is not my idea of fun.

Yup the second manual is the right one

So I was just a tiny bit off, minimum to run is pin 1 to 3, and 2 to 13. That will allow it to idle. if you want to control the power you need another wire from 13 to 7 with a pot in between. If you Just run a wire from 13 to 7 it will probably run full current.
