Wiring again ...
Well, i've just received my DT25's, and Dave being the great man he is, also loaned me Moncha to test them out with. Now, I only have a sound card DAC, which has only a single ended output, but the galvo's have differential input. How would I wire the sound card DAC to give me the largest possible output image size?
Cheers,
Dan

You do one of 4 things.
I. Recalibrate the card's input gain pot if it has one.. NOT RECOMENDED UNLESS YOU HAVE A SCOPE AND A ILDA TEST PATTERN THAT DOES NOT COME FROM A SOUND CARD. Warning, some cards have a pot labeled scale. Its a position sensor gain pot, not a image size control.
II. Ground the - side of the diff input and connect the sound card dac's signal to the + input, connect the sound card dac's ground to the amplifier's analog ground.
III build a OPAMP circuit with gain, do not exceed the rated input voltage of the galvo amp.
IV. Build a single ended to differtial converter circuit.
Most folks do idea II and live with it.
