    Its boring. maybe a wisp of steam at best. If your very lucky you get some orange flashes.

    I had a friend focus 2000 watts of co2 into a teacup of water. Very boring, the surface boiled at a tiny spot, then he lifted the focus a bit, and instant very tiny orange water vapor plasma ball, but thats it. So if 10,000, which is supposed to totally be adsorbed by h2o does that, 1064 is not gonna be spectacular. Thats why water is such a great coolant.

    I just tried hitting ice with around 40W @ 808nm. Totally not spectacular. Although, my little 4W CO2 bores through ice just fine. Water is pitch black to 10.6um.

    You probably already know this, but thats because to your CO2, that ice cube is a non-see thru object due to the wavelength
