Hi All
Well, due to a few factors I decided that it was time for a complete re-build of my projector. The question was should I undertake this myself or get someone far more expert to do it for me.
I guess the title of this thread sort of gives it away somewhat... I decided to take the easy option (for me) and I asked Rob (Stanwax) if he would be prepared to take on the task. Thankfully he accepted
Those who know me will also know that my electrickery skills leave a great deal to be desired, so overall the best option has been decided upon (I would hate to see those CT's go up in smoke), I came to the conclusion that there was just too much expensive gear in this build for me to take any risks.
So, Rob has started a photo album of the build in progress here...

The contents of the new projector are going to be as follows...
Cambridge CT6215h scanners (Just look at those lovely electronics and meaty power supplies)
300mW Laserwave 532nm Green
A 'custom' blue cobbled together from a working Lasever 200mW blue and another (hopefully soon to be working again) 200mW Blue. The idea is to combine both these with a PBS to get around 350/400mW total blue output.
A pair of Maxyzmodules 659nm Red's that are producing around 430mW ish.
300mW (ish) Laserwave 642nm Red.
The reds will be combined using the Semrock custom dichro from the group buy on here a while back.
For the optics mounts we're hoping to use Pat's (Laserman 532) new mounts as they are really small.
For the dichro's... Well, that's probably going to be Laserwave as well, although I have a spare set of brand new EO dichro's that Rob is going to look at.
The case is one of the GB custom builds from Simon (Pit8ull) and Mark (Insanity).
Overall, I think the colour should be fairly well balanced for a nice white, but the LD2000 software should compensate for any shortfalls
So, that's it so far. I'll leave Rob to comment further if deems it necessary (and can find the time).
Cheers
Jem
