    Hi All (Especially Spec),

I was diagnosed with HBP in 1980. I've been on medication ever since. Sometimes 3 different meds a day.

In the past month I have done something to bring it down to 140/80 and going lower. Resting heart rate of 68 and dropping.

First - DO WHAT ADAM SAYS!! TODAY!! NOW!! STROKES ARE A REAL BITCH!!

Then, go get a copy of Protein Power by Dr. Michael R. Eades. Read it.

Then, you'll understand how your systems are working and what's causing them to eff up.

Do what it says if you like. It's working like a charm for me.

What does the Diastolic presure represent?

Remember, having a massive stroke can be *worse* than having a heart attack. Why? Because even though you can frequently survive a stroke, they can't fix the damage. So, do you want to spend the rest of your life paralyzed on one side? Or unable to speak? Think about it... Then get your ass to a clinic. Today.
By today's protocol, that would not be a RCH away from a hypertensive episode, that would immediately qualify as a hypertensive *emergency*. (Diastolic above 100) You are being recklessly flippant about this.

Seriously, don't screw around. This is *easy* to fix. I'm talking dead-cinch easy, 1 pill a day and you can do whatever you want easy. Go see a doctor. Now.

One is the "pump pulse" pressure, the other is the resting pressure in between pulses.

Diastolic is the relaxed/resting pressure. Its the one that can really ruin your day if high.

FIX it pal. We'll support you. 90% of the causes of early onset BP are very fixable, the other 9% are fixable but lifestyle restrictive , and the 1% that are not , are managable if caught early.

Valium just hides the underlying causes, most of which are fixable.
