i dunno how the pango plugin does it, maybe it works too with prefetching the music. thats what we need like you say... to render plus optimize the paths and all this synced

any chance to contact the winamp coder and ask about adding easylase support ? ^^

They guy that wrote Winamp and the AVS visualiser (Justin Frankel) is also the guy that wrote the Pangolin Laser Visualizer plug in. The Laser Visualizer plug-in leverages the QM-2000 software development kit (as Mikkojay pointed out) in order to do some pre-processing on the frames before they're sent to the projector.

The main reason there isn't a version for the FB3 is that there isn't an SDK for the FB3 yet. However, there might be SDK's out for other controllers. You may want to try contacting Justin and see if he's interested in sharing any of his work on this...

About the frame optimizing delay, i have an idea... feed the output from your music station/ipod/etc into line in; this will be captured, prozessed in visualization software; and then outputed in sync with the generated laser frames. after that you can still direct the audio through your dj pult to make scratching

Or wirte in completely in Software and let Winamp play your Music with appropriate delay.
Or maybe just use your GPU for a such insacne fast calculation that you wont see any lag?
