Now my offer is retracted. Not worth any of my $ seeing as you will probably kill it and claim shipping has done the damage. Lots of luck on a sale....probably not here. Just enjoy it until it gives up the ghost....but don't say you weren't warned. Then you can smoke a credit card and get a laser. Having a bad attitude from being presented with the truth does not work well with some. I guess gravitational effects have no power over you as well....

    Thumbs down my offer

I also with-draw my offer of $500 and decline your counter offer. I have no desire to deal with you at any price. I am not reviewing your product, just your infantile attitude.

I know I will get a cute and probably profane reply. You will be welcome here when you learn some civility and posses a bit of maturity.

Just about the power of the Lasever lasers : all I had was way overpowered too, especially the green. My first was a 200mW 532nm, measured at over 300mW. It failed, I sent it back, the new measured >350mW. If failed too, I didn't send it back (still working but at only 120mW). All was old-style laser heads.

About the 473nm models, my first was doing 110-120mW. It fails (still old design), and the new I received is still putting out >200mW, after one good year of use. I never heard of a blue laser as overpowered as this one

After all that failures I don't know why (certainly because of a disappointment about a very well-known manufacturer, and I really like the small footprint of the Lasever lasers), I ordered again a 300mW 532nm from Lasever at the end of the last year, I received a new design head (by the way, a lot more well built), and measured >450mW. This one is still performing well into my projector, after 6 month of use.

So Adam, I think you wasn't been very lucky with Lasever power Despite of course I'll had prefered lasers not that overpowered but more reliable, but that's another story!

Laserguy : about the price you're expecting from that laser, I think like some others here that's a little too much. A brand new 100mW 473nm from manufacturer was 650USD last year, and certainly decreased a little now... So still wanting 600$ for it is quite optimistic, since you "spent" half of the warranty time, and this is precisely the sensitive point with that brand. But again, that's your sale, you make what you want, and I still wish you good luke on your sale

Btw, if it was cheaper, I'll eventually had considered the offer, to mix with my other blue laser...

I'm not sure about what you guys are seeing about Lasever but my company is a reseller of those systems and we have never had a system not meet or exceed the specifications. We test every system that we sell. In fact, they hold up quite nicely. We have a 300mW 532nm at this very moment sitting 400 meters below the surface of the ocean in a pressure vessel scanning the water for oil leaks around a drilling platform.

Maybe they treat their resellers different from their direct purchasers. I cannot make a statement about this blue system as it is in the hands of an individual and I cannot know what was done with it but from my experience Lasever is a pretty good company. We will continue to do business with them. In fact, many of those systems may find there way into low cost DNA sequencing systems in the near future.

We've torn enough of them apart and completely reverse engineered the systems to understand they are of sound design for their low price. We don't reproduce them because Lasever builds them but we wanted to understand them.

I appreciate the info, I think most of us still have lasever greens still working, the reds were not bad either and I think my one red that did go bad was just simply over driven since it was rated at 500mw and pushing 750mw. The blues seem to be the issue with Lasever and their ultimate demise. Their product got so bad that Dave with lasershowparts.com discussed discontinuing offering them since it was too much hassle. Now that I looked, they did take them off their website. If anyone would know better it would be Lasevers former largest volume reseller.

PS: Its cool to hear what your doing with the laser, would love to see some kind of picture or video if ya got it.

I have a couple of pictures of the system mounted in the pressure vessel. I'll post them on Monday when I am using my laptop at work.
