    Laser Warning My projector

I just realised that I have not yet shown you guys my projector.
It's been ready for 6 months now.

I did the best I could with the housing (and to be honest I hate the shiny finish, I'll probably change that to matte sometime soon)

    Specs :

    • CNI Green 200mW measured at 300mW
    • CNI Blue 100mW measured at 120mW
    • Homemade dual red estimated to have approx 400mW
    • DT40pro's
    • FB3 for control

So here it is (be gentle on me ) :

Front : Hoya filter on the output and grille for the electronics compartiment

Back : Powercon for power (duh!), ethercon for signal and a jack for shutter

Bottom : An alu heatsink is incorporated for the galvo drivers

    Inside : coulour mixing

    And some beam shots :

    fourdee-

looks GREAT! excellent job. i like the layout with the bounce mirror for the blue. MUCH easier to align. approx how much are you losing on the bounc there?1mW-2mW??

    thanks for sharing!

    No idea tbh
Lasers were measured with someone else's power meter (don't have one myself)
I used the laser-wave mirrors, they are spec'd at >99% reflective

Could you tell me more about your filter? Is it a standard camera lens filter, or something more exotic? Do you get a lot of losses or back reflections from it?

That's my fav pic from that series too

As for the filter, it's a simple UV filter for cameras (72mm)
I do get some reflection back into the case, but it'm glad to sacrifice some output in return for clean optics

Btw : I did some experimenting a few days ago

    Nice to hear

The colours acutally get worse once everything gets warmed up, bacuase then the green gets the upper hand ... but now I'm nitpicking
