Laser Warning Major Photonic Announcement... :)

    Phellow Photonians -

Well, I can't really compete with any 'XtremeScanningBeyondPangolin'-threads - but I am extremely pleased and honored to announce the Grand Re-Opening of Laserium. www.laserium.com

Yes, I have been rather 'absent' from PL (and will continue to-be) till after we 'launch', but I just popped-in in to tell you, because, what this means - for 'us' all - as Laserists / Laser-Enthusiasts - is that we (collectively) will, yet-again, not only have a true 'LaserMecca' to visit / take friends-to if/when in CA, USA, but a 'champion' - a 'beacon', if you will - for the furtherance of our beloved craft of creating Laser Shows - as ART. No friggin pointers burning electrical tape or popping balloons. Or hitting aircraft. No audience scanning with a CuBr - just loverly photons bathing all guests under waves of pure color and love, in every-imaginable permutation / sfx / experimental-thinggies stuck in the beam - to make it even more amazing. And all set-to music cranked till your ears bleed! (kidding..

...And then - there is the 'LightDancer'. Nothing short of 'revolutionary' - truly, you can 'BE the music...' and it is actually, really, really FUN.

OK - to Our Friends 'over on the other side of the pond and beyond', yes, 'this locale' is 'US-centric - for NOW - many will remember that just a few-short years back, Laserium played to over 20 million people (cumulatively) in over 45 cities around the Globe - truly, an 'internationally-outreaching' show. And now, with technology having advanced so-much in just a few short years - and more highly-exciting new devs every year - or less - (ie: 488 OPSL, 405nm, 445nm, 640nm, XtremeScan - yeeaah, baby! we hope to, yet again, share the 'love of the light' with all Mankind. (...well, at least augment it, right?

So, you are all-hereby Cordially-Invited, June 25th, and beyond, to experience what the 'Founders' of the Laser Light Show Industry' have-had up their sleeve all this time - and friends - I have to-say - I've seen a LOT of laser shows (not ALL of them, but a lot ) and I can truthfully tell you - Laserium produces fx that - still - simply leave your jaw-dropped - NOBODY ELSE on this PLANET produces fx exactly like Laserium - simply breathtaking fx / great shows (...and sorry, but a 'flash intro' simply cannot do justice to the 'experience' - it is like 'watching an IMAX movie on an iPhone - just NOT the same...) - and it'll only get better from here!

...And yes, I am working-on 'discounts' for PL-Members - stay tuned...

BUT PLEASE NOTE - I am EXTREMELY SWAMPED until / thru opening, so PLEASE, don't take it the 'wrong-way' if I don't reply here every day to answer questions / posts - there is just no-way I can.. if you have something more than just a 'general question' - something the website canNOT answer / is 'attendance-critical' for you to know, then, please - PM-me - but be patient - I have been working 18+ hr days, and that won't ease-up till later in July...

    Hope to see you here!

    Paz y Luz..

    Thumbs up Sounds cool!

I agree... While I'd love to see this, I don't think I'll be traveling to California anytime soon. Still, if it's half as good as the things I've read about Laserium over the years, then it should be mind-blowing.

Here's hoping that they build one in Orlando some day... Or better yet, Charleston!

    Oh ya!

In either case, I'm super excited for this... true it's not 'driving distance', or something I can go to on a 'whim', but if I'm ever on that side of the country... I'll be sure to drop by

    Thanx Jon

Default ...Now THIS is a Laser Projector!!! :)

    Hey Kats -

How's this for a 'pin-up girl'.. ...even 'autographed' by Ivan...

...I know what you're thinkin' - OMG / complicated, etc - yes, it is a bit of a 'high-maintenence relationship' but as we transition these babies to full solid-state - the 'paradigm-shift' as Greg Makov likes to call it - we'll begin to have more flexibility to 'play' by mixing 'old-school tech' with new ideas / approaches (like the exciting Pango 'beam-brush', there, but for use outSIDE of 'safety'), full-fledged projector-designs like this will make for quite the laser-art rennaisance, I opinn... you have GOT to see some of the fx this can produce - not just lumia, but fx that you can 'SHAPE' and USE - purposefully - like laser 'water' and utterly amazing nebula fx... (ie: 'vGer', there..)

Now, we won't have this exact model for opening, but some where down the road... and as soon as we get the 'Gallery' fixed at laserium.com (the site that is up now is ONLY temporary, thank God... ) we'll get some of the classic shots, and later, new fx shots these things can do... breathtaking stuff....

..Anyhoo, gotta jet - just thought you'd all appreciate some inspiration / 'analog-porn'

PS - I know it should go without saying, but sadly, not everyone that applies for membership on PL hold to 'honorable principles', so: just-know that ALL of these images are HIGHLY copyrighted by Laserium® and as-such, they are not free to-be used for ANY promos / sales / etc - and please trust me when I say that Ivan has an 'uncanny ability' to find-out when other cos are using his images / name, to their-gain - (ie- he busted some install in India, via some totally obscure reference that look him to links of links of links - and he found them and had thier local Gov't open up a can of whopp@$$ on them... I was impressed.. ) - and besides, I am sure you don't really want the stigma of having the 'Grandfather of the Laser Show industry' have to give you a big spanking in front of the whole class, now, right? - outside of that, n-joy!

    ciao
