Default Your thoughts ona UKLEM raffle and international raffle

    Hi Folks

Some time ago i organised a raffle of a 1 watt 532nm Viasho for the UKLEM meeting , mark insanity was lucky enough to win it !

Viasho gave us a special discounted price and we had to sell 60 tickets and the unit was raffled non profit, it was a bit of a struggle but they all went in the end.

Anyways Franks offered a special deal discount just to support UKLEM again , which is pretty cool .... not to knock a gift horse :-)

However i am concerned 60 tickets was a lot and a 1 watt at the time was HIGHLY desireable unit .... I am concerend that maybe there wont be so much interest in a 1 watt 532nm anymore and tickets will be left unsold ?

So i am wondering , is there still a lot of interest ? would a raffle be desirable ?

And also last time there was a lot of international interest but we kept it solely for UK users , wondering if theres enough interest for an international raffle too ? ( the tickets are publically picked and video made at the UKLEM meetings )

    thoughts appreciated

    paul

I would be interested to take part in a raffle with the change of winning a 1W unit ;-)
Even though i can't come to UKLEM, would be nice to take part anyways.

I'd definitly buy tickets and could pay by cheque, google checkout or paypal the chance of winning a laser is a good enough reason to enter any competition

I live too far away to travel all the way to surfleet for a LEM, and back again the same day! (i work every saturday so could only potentially come up on a sunday)..

....plus i dont have any lasers at the moment, and kevin (rusty999) is presumably still borrowing my DAC! lol
