    Default Laserworld LW50 scanners

    Evening all!
Bit of a weird request, but is anyone running laserwold LW50 scanners. If so, could you have a look on the bottom of the galvos, and tell me what the sticker says. Mine reads JY000035X on the x scanner. Pics would realy help if anyone can be bothered!

    Thanks in advance,
    And Cheers

Well, considering the sort of reviews we've seen on the LW 50K scanners, it *would* make sense if they were actually only 35K units...

It would explain rather a lot, actually. (Of course, then you've still got to deal with the lies they've told about their product, but that's pretty much part for the course with Laser World these days, right?)

Well, the suspicious part to me would be the number "35" in the part number for "50" k galvo

    Cool

Hmmm.... Ok - maybe that's just a serial number then? So not so suspicious after all. (Or at least, if they are using slower scanners at least they're not so dumb as to forget to remove the label indicating the speed before they sell them!)

Doesn't look like that number means much, unless of course mine are 2k

I have them running pretty good at 30k, my only complaint is the mirrors... They vibrate slightly and cause a bit of a ripple in the bottom of the four lines in the test pattern and the reflectivity is crap... I am about to replace them with some nice mirrors from Dave (Lasershowparts)....

The Laserworlds are now going into my pair of 1 watt greens, I have a set of Scanpro 40's going in the RGB... And one thing I did notice was this: I thought my blue laser had modulation problems, as when it drew a line, it faded out about half way... This doesn't happen with the ScanPro's.. Also, if you look closely at the pic, the red appears to be jellybeaning, but again, this was the scanners... Hmmmmmm

    Sacrifice

It's a dud scanner, when I was installing the new ones, I might have accidentally boshed it with a watt of green Justice....
