    Thanks again guys

MechEng3 : 1/3 the size of my setup? How the hell is it possible I already made the adjustable mounts as small as possible (20mm * 20mm), and I cannot see how I could make the other parts smaller...

DrLava : I think here was the problem : the insulation didn't resist to the pressure of the mounts, that was very bad type of insulation. I measure only some ohms between diode's cases and the mount. But now all my diodes have died, I'm not sure if they shorted or so... I'll investigate that later.

Well, now I'm in search of some better diode's cases, because Aixiz one are really bad quality. The optics stays not in place for example. It helps for alignement but I've no doubt it could also move when transporting the projector, etc...

I also ordered two small TEC modules to place under each diodes mounts.

And I have to build a telescope, or find another way to reduce the spot size... Well, a lot of work yet to do!

Chuck them in a boiling hot wash to shrink 'em down, that's how these 10x10mm mounts were made

Damn you man!! I'm jealous now

Really good work too! How do you hold the diodes in the mounts? Are they glued?

You have raised the bar with your shiny example sir (where is the green with envy smilie?)

Yes, thermal epoxy is my way of retaining Aixiz housings and it seems to work ok..

simon take them lens out and replace with aixiz glass lens, it will give you a good 20-30mw extra per diode

Sounds good, but what beam size? this module used CAY046's.. ok they drop a bit of power as they are not AR coated but the short FL means around a 2.5x1.8mm beam, not the 3x5mm beam of the std Aixiz acrylics..
