that's some nice engineering. are you concerned about providing enough heat sinking for the diode?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

what do you mean sorry? what does a mirror mount and heat sinking the diode have in common??

oh, my bad. it means i haven't had my coffee and was mistaking your mirror mount for a diode mount. sorry about that!

    Default Laserman Quad kit...

The people I know with the kit built the duals first to prepare for building the quad. Next reason for the delay would be bitchin' dielectric broadband mirrors. The specific quad I am referencing will be used for a quad 405nm so the new mirrors from the groupbuy are essential to the build, especially after the laserwave cube.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

A little update of my quad red, mostly to the driver part. I made a little addon TEC driver (from my own design) to the Flexmod driver, with a simplified connection to power supply (5V, Gnd and 12V for the TEC), and also for the modulation inputs, which are all on removable connectors now.

Both power transistors are now on a heatsink which will come into the baseplate, it's way better for cooling them.

I also added a Lasorb but don't know how efficient it will be in case of a static discharge, as I put it maybe too far from the diodes, a few centimeters away from the pins... Anyway, that's better than nothing, I guess

Thanks, yeah that's not the final state, I'll make all that a little more clean later, but I still have to put a diode in its place before
