Default Fb3, live pro + midi keyboard

Hi All, forgive me if this has been asked.
Does the FB3 version of LIVE PRO Support MIDI?

I know it does not support DMX as that was spelled out when I bought it, but I've tried plugging my MIDI keyboard in, but when I go to the MIDI settings, I get an error with something like 'dont have midi'

Anyone know it it's actually supported for FB3?

    Cheers.

Yep it works fine for me.
I use my FB3/LivePro with a midi controller.
If that doesn't work, try re-installing your midi controller drivers.

Thanks Guys, yep worked for me aswell.
I only had 15 mins of mucking about, here is what I found.

I've got a huge keyboard but only a section of keys do anything.

The way I think it works is only ques visible on the current tab are assigned to a key...is that right?

When I press any of the keys the que seems to get assigned to the one of two tracks, so only two ques gets played at the same time. I must be doing somethign wrong.

When I take my finger of the keyboard the que does not stop. Is there a way to make it stop playing when I take my finger of the key?

I need to spend WAY longer with this software so It's only my fault for not knowing how to use it.

Yeah you really need to spend some more time with livepro everything you want is there
Somewhere in the 'Cue' tab there is a checkbox named 'Stop at Note Off' or something like that..
In the Cue settings you can also select to which tracks the cues are sent. You can select a one or multiple tracks.

The default behavior is that the keys control the cues in the current page. Note C0 should be the very first cue. If your keyboard doesn't start at C0 you can set a 'First Key' in the MIDI settings.

That only a small part of your keyboard is functioning is a bit strange.. What kind of keyboard are you using? Is it perhaps split up in multiple zones or anything? If it sends out midi data from a single MIDI channel.. you should be able to use the whole of your keyboard.

    Hope this helps.. good luck!

You need to assign your Images, Effects, Key Effects and Colour Cycles to tracks from the cue properties tab.. For each element you can also select stop on release. You then set your MIDI keys up and can define whether or not they change page...

Shameless blag, but my training DVD explains all of this http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7878
