    Default Laser-uk lasers?

I'm new to this forum and don't know that much about lasers. I've just bought a "Laser-UK Club Scene" laser (http://www.laser-uk.co.uk/products.php?CID=3). It was a bit of an impulse purchase and now I've been looking on this forum but can't find much mention of Laser-UK, so am wondering if anyone knows if it's any good? I paid £600 for it which, looking at other similar lasers on Ebay etc, now seems a bit expensive. Hopefully I haven't wasted my money?

    Thumbs up

Get yourself a DMX controller and start playing.
Plenty of fun to be had for a first laser.
Of course you could do with a cheapo smoke machine too.

Before long you'll be wishing for ILDA control and that's when the money really starts flowing out.

I'm 99% sure its a Neo Laser made by Neo Neon and re-badged as Laser UK. Tehy've changed the casings now so I can't show you one on Neo Neons page but I'm sure thats what it is.

I also think there might be a Flashback 3 card inside which if there is, kind of justifies the price. What software did you get with it?

Actually I've already got a smoke machine and I've got a cheap ebay DMX controller on it's way. Had a look at some of the software packages out there but they seen pretty expensive, so probably won't be investing for a while!

There's an SD card slot in the back which you can load with .ild files and then playback via DMX - I'm guessing that's what this is? It comes with some software called Beam Designer - seems pretty basic and not very user friendly.

Sounds like it could be a FB3 but without the supplied software. Perhaps you could ask Bill (Pangolin) on here to see if you're entitled to download the FB3 software. He should also be able to help you identify the card for definite. There's probably a way of doing it from a pc without opening the case.

If you are entitled to download the Pangolin software, I'm sure it will be far better than the software they've supplied.
