self sealing water hose and fittings

I always drain mine after use. No fear of a freeze? Or other unknown with keeping water in it?

I got a chiller off Craigslist site unseen, works great BUT who the F wants a water cooled chiller! Wish I would have known that part! By the time I cooled the chiller I could have just cooled the laser direct. Ooops

Well, with a water-cooled chiller, if you loose water flow for a short period of time the show can still continue. If you have the water going straight to the laser, any interruption at all will trip the water interlock and shut down the laser. So someone flushes a toilet and the show cuts off.

They do have a purpose, though I admit it's more cumbersome.

Hi Andy

im sure you also realise that using self sealing connectors means that if someone disconnects the hoses whilst the pump is running the hoses will become pressurised and seals could blow ... so it maybe worth fitting a presure relief valve that diverts the pump flow back to the return
