I have seen Quickshow after the ILDA event and it was not finished yet and a release date was not available
During the Prolight and sound in germany Bill told me LD5 will be released within 2 weeks, now 3 months later still no officialLD5 release.
So I dont think we will have a official release of quickshow any time soon.
Hey thanks for the info!
Maybe I was reading too much into Bill's post, but it seemed like it was going to be here in a few weeks. On the other hand, could be Pangolin trying to piss on the chips for the release of Mamba 2, without having a product.
Thoughs please
Lex
Is there a download page for the FB3? After searching the site for a while I can't seem to find anything but LD2000 updates etc?
Cheers,

If a certain very upper management member of Medialas with the initials DB - was unfortunatly pronounced dead and buried - I guess at this stage he would be connected to his head and feet, through the walls of his coffin, to 2x 3phase 4Kw motors, and rotating at great speed
Well done Billy![]()

Lex;
Not to worry. That's not how Pangolin does business. I've had a pre-release copy of version 5 for a while now, and I've been testing it. I'm sure there are several other people who are beta-testing it as well. When everything is perfect, Bill will release the version for everyone to download on the Pangolin website.
Thus far, I have not found any compatibility issues with version 5 of the software. Truthfully, if you didn't know it was version 5, you would think that they hadn't changed anything. Most of the changes are behind the scenes, and have to do with minor feature tweaks and compatibility upgrades.
As for Quickshow, that is completely separate from version 5. I have not even seen what Quickshow looks like, and I will probably have to wait a while to see it, since according to Bill, Quickshow will be released for the FB3 first, and only later will a version for the QM-2000 board be made available.
Likewise, "Beyond" is also separate from version 5, though parts of the "Beyond" technology are supposed to be integrated into Quickshow.
Exactly! Bill is very particular about his product, and he doesn't like to release things that are not "perfect". Of course, nothing is ever perfect, but Bill really works hard to make Pangolin's products as good as possible. In the rare instance when someone discovers a problem, Bill is right there to fix it - often within a day or two.
In the case of version 5, there are very few visible signs of the changes that were made. The bulk of the work is hidden deep inside the software, and Bill is just being diligent by making sure everything is correct before releasing it.
