It looked like a blast of CO2 in that clip.

That's the one... It is the De Facto Liquid Nitrogen machine... But the it disperses real quick, which is just as well, as you can't see a damned thing when it goes off... But, when I was there last I counted at least 10 smoke machines as well as the Megatron...

Well, I should really go to Ibiza one day soon (only to see the smoke machines, of course, not that lil hotties in tight shorts) (and I've a friend who is mixing at Es Paradis there right now, that should be a great excuse to go )

I agree, many of those effects could be reproduced using a couple of dozen HPE's. Still rather good though.

At first glance I thought they were moving heads lol.
Lots of lasers (cant even imagine the cost of that), but like others said, they should take advantage of the laser a bit more. Moving heads easily could have taken care of the look they were trying to achieve.

it makes me wonder if the show was programmed through dmx and flashbacks or something....

thats a lot of output cards otherwise.

unless they got smart and used a laser matrix or something

Nice but on some of the fanned effects the colours look weak.

Personally I'd have or reduced by 1/3 rd the number of colour projectors and gone OPSL.

Hugo again (?) at Awakenings (very high quality clip):

Techno me feeling dead though and this lacks the show organisation of the Amnesia clip but the difference with the lasers in saturation is clear to see.

I think it looked weak at some points due to the fact that there was no smoke or atmosphere in the room. Smoke would have made for a very different effect.

Not sure why you would want to reduce the number of projectors or colours for that matter? That ring looks awesome, and with a bit more show design/programming could do some amazing tricks.

If you went OPSL all the way, you would be spending twice as much money and loose a lot of colours. There is currently no widely available OPSL red, so you would loose all the orange, purple, magenta and violet colours.

I think it's spot on, apart from the fact that the operator/programmer needs to spend a bit more time with it. You could get so much more out of a setup like that.

Nice video, a bit green, apart from the two Jenlas at the beginning... Like the pyro in time with the beat, very effective...
