Peter addedHI All,
We have been the target of a scrupuless young woman who has rented laser gear from us and has since then not returned these rented items.
The rented units were standard Showtec G100 Green DMX controlled lasers.
She has rented 4 of these plus a small smoke generator and DMX controller.
All items have been rented on June 3rd and should have been returned on Tuesday 9th, but since the pickup we have not seen her or hear from her again.
We have today informed the local police about her.
The woman goes by the name:
MANDY BALVERS
Although this seems to be her real name, the address she gives out is false.
The address on her driverslicense is also no longer her real address the Police informed me.
They did not give me her real address due to privacy policies and such.
The address she used look like this:
MANDY BALVERS
BERGWEG 117
3038 XE ROTTERDAM
Her driverslicense states:
BERGWEG 177 B2
ROTTERDAM
This may be in use before but no longer is in use.
Please watch out for such fraudulent people.
Always ask for a recent bankslip with their current address.
I know I will in future events.
Please feel free to crosspost this memo to other forums and such, especially Dutch forums.
Regards,
Peter Broerse

Hi Karl,
I would appreciate if you could post on PL. Would be a great option.
Even if I do not get the lasers back, at least we may get to the point where she will not be able to rent anything anymore with anyone.
She should end up on a blacklist somehow.
I am realy considering setting up a blacklist service for rental companies to check if certain individuals have done bad things in the past.
This would prevent trouble in the future.
I have a picture from her drivers license. As PL is a mebers only site we may post this along with the message. So people will know whom to look for.I'll try to get that into a file and mail you later.Regards,Peter
Peter is one of the nicest guys i have met in the business ( in fact 99% of people in this business i have met are really nice .... not like the restaurant business at all)
If any one can help you will be doing a good guy a big favour and i think that peter suggestion of a blacklist would be a good idea ... not just in europe but in the whole world
all the best .... Karl
