Naa, I was getting ready to leave the room around 10AM Sunday when I seen the note slipped under the door. My guess is they were long gone by then. I kinda felt bad but was funny as hell at the same time. We weren't that loud. I think it was the storm that was really keeping them up. Oh well, we'll try harder next time....

Haha! Good point. We *have* had a few women attend various LEM's - Fred's wife always comes with him, Aaron's girlfriend has been there a couple times, and Mo's girlfriend came to one, plus one of our new members (Cat) has been two two events so far - but by and large these things do tend to end up being mostly guys. There just aren't that many female laserists...

Still, Women are of course welcome. As are husbands and boyfriends. And domestic partners, and significant others, and any other life partnership combination that I've failed to mention. So long as they won't get bored hanging around with a bunch of laser geeks, they'll have a good time!

Note to women: We really *do* play well with others, despite some of the trash-talk you may read on the forums. At these events there's usually too much stuff going on for any of the nasty effects of testosterone to have much effect on things.

Well, setup is at noon, so probably like 8:00am -maybe 9:00am.

I plan to be in town between 11 and 12 on Friday - depending on traffic. Give me a call on my cell phone when you get there and I'll give you an ETA. (I need to get there a little early so I can install the replacement SSR that I purchased for the house lighting dimmer panel.)

In fairness, maybe this year the "after party" should be held in the lounge area downstairs in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express, rather than in one of the rooms?

I know I can get pretty loud, especially when talking about something I'm really interested in... Also, if I was stuck in the room next door trying to sleep while a bunch of laser geeks were swapping alcohol-fueled war stories in the next room, I'd probably be pissed about the lack of sleep too.

Hey Bill, glad to see you're going to make it! I can't take full credit on the shirts, the logo design was daedal's. By the way, I have all the shirts nicely packed in two boxes here ready to go. If anyone wants thier shirt early, you'll either have to come get it, or pay to have it shipped. You must have also paid for SELEM registration.

I was thinking of leaving Orlando around 5. I suppose I could get my but out of bed earlier and meet you in Jacksonville. I would like it better if we met a little later though. You figure it's about 2 hrs to J'ville. That puts me out the door at 3am . I'm an early riser, but jeese.
