Question WTB - Newport HVM-1 mounts

    Morning all -

I'm in the market for one or two additional Newport HVM-1, 1" optics mounts.
Due to my optics layout space restrictions, I need ACTUAL Newport mounts, complete with the base, or "clones" that are identical in dimension.

I know I can order them direct from Newport, but I was hoping one or two might be available "aftermarket" or 2nd hand to save a few dollars.

    Thanks in advance...

    Question

Hey Randy, post some pictuers of what you are looking for. I can turn around and see 9 mounts... I am just not sure if any are the type you are looking for.

    OK - here's what I'm looking for:

These mounts are approximately 3 7/8" overall height (including adjustment knobs), about 3/4" thick, with the center of the optics window about 1 1/2" off the deck.

The base mount is adjustable about a dozen different ways so you can mount from either side, use offset mounting, etc.
Base mount is drilled to handle 1/4" hardware.

With all the adjustments on top, very little additional front/back clearance is needed to make these work.

They're nice - and at $135/ea plus shipping direct from Newport, they ought to be!!

I would like to point you to these great Thor Labs mounts. They appear to be the same thing, just cheaper.

I have to admit, I have had a ton of Thor Labs stuff, and they have always been great products. They are also the only company I know of that gives you free food with your order
