Hello Barty - welcome to the forums!

Here's some info that might help us, help you :

    • Post this question in the "Help" section of the forum, where it will probably get more attention.
    • Let us know where you live by filling in some more info on your profile - you might find that you're close enough to experienced members to get some first-hand assistance!!
    • Concerning your questions on your lasers -
      • What are the brands and model numbers of your projectors?
      • Is your non-ilda projector equpped for DMX control?
      • Do you already have a controller for your ILDA projector, or do you need that as well? Your software options closely relate to the hardware you have available.
I'm sure that if you can "fill in the blanks" with these questions, you'll find plenty of plenty of folks here ready to help out!!

    Exclamation

Oooh he said the "L" word.

Your isolution projector is probably Twelvety Two times more powerful than any Laserworld crap.

In tests, 8 out of 10 users prefer a dead match to a Laserworld projector.

ILDA will give you ultimate control over your lasers but if you just want "quick and dirty" as a mobile DJ then link 'em both up to DMX.

    Assuming you are familiar with DMX then the options available on lasers are usually something like;
    • Laser On/Off
    • Display pattern (1 - 125, 1-256 etc.)
    • Rotate Pattern (Z,Y,Z axis)
    • Resize Pattern
    • Move Pattern (L,R) etc.
(The details will be in your laser documentation)

Or you could whack 'em on Sound to Light and just hit the on/off switch every now and then.

A point to bear in mind is that you should have some means of killing power to the lasers to hand at all times (in case a projector gets dislodged and sends beams directly into the eyeline of customers etc.).
    Usual H&S considerations.

There's a laser meet this weekend in Surfleet so if you are serious about getting answers and incidentally want to see the kind of equipment that you'd normally only dream of getting access to, then pop along.
Search the forum for UKLEM details.

if you post a few pictures people can help you more, there is some free software on the site and the creators are happy to help.

spend some time here and read especially about safety before you consider using dmx on 300mw

as far as your laserworld goes, well chances are you got burnt.

Default help with my new lasers

the laserworld one does'nt seem that bad in terms of power but the movement of the patterns & graphics are nowhere as smooth as the isolution but i suppose in all fairness i paid the same for both of them although the isolution was not new & the laserworld was both aprox £300.00 each
