And don't forget inkscape with ILD SOS or Zoof's OLA.
Thanks for mentioning OLA there drlava.
As soon as I have more time I'm going to try this Blender thing, thanks TL for releasing it!
As for OLA, I don't believe many people use it - it is purely an artist's creation tool and as said above this is not a content creating community.
So I'll plug in a link again in case anyone gets inspired :-)

cheers
Hi Zoof, thanks for popping in. Yes OLA deserves attention, it's another program that deserves more positive feedback and thanks than it has gotten. I'm not sure why people would want to use point-by-point frame creation tools except for beamshows with tools like these available.
There are some new frames.

Blender is very very hard to use after got used to 3ds max.
I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!
It's really great to see people using my tool...
I've some ideas to enhance the renderer, but hat the last months to much other work to do...
I think I will release a new version with the ability to give objects different render options soon...
Hello ^^
Im a 3D artists and was looking for this yes ^^
Since i got lasersoftware now and wanted to really do this I finally gave it a go and it works really well.
About exporting: I heard there was a dxf format which still keeps the colours.
something about ACI
If the exporter already does this or a exporter that is able to I would like to know.
I will buy it if it's not to decent priced.
I'm also thinking of buying ILD SOS
BUT I really want colour
*EDIT*
what also might be a solution to the problem is some kind of new feature in ILD SOS that allows you to import multiple .DXF
why?
Well what if we split a model up in parts and assign 1 colour to that then export.
That will mean that we can give any object *for example clothing on a 3D model*
A different colour.
Just merging the ilda files however will surely mess everything up.
So it must done in the converting software
This looks cool but it's outdated... Any chance on reviving this project? I'm heavily interested! It might be cool to have this as a real time environment in, say, LSX...
(and yes thread grave digging but stfu)
I believe you can only create Blender plugins with python (though not completely sure).
Blender now works with Python 3 which is completely different from Python 2. This plugin is in Pyton 2 so it has to be completely rewritten...
