    Default DIY Laser systems

    Hi to all laserists.....

I am new to this field, have got a 300mw RGB and currently controling it with DMX controller. I would like to further my outlook and build my own laser and get some decent software to control via PC.
I am currently looking into Phoenix software and pangolin. From what i have seen and heard pangolin sysems are the A-grade and have a price tag to match.
what i am asking is ,,,, where can i find info on how to build my own laser from scratch, I am a tech head from way back , but am finding it hard to get data on building them myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to build something around 2watt RGB to start with i think.

Pangolin has great products from the FB3 (~$500) and on up the software and hardware are spiffy. The really great thing about Pangolin is the customer support! You already have a projector I am sure Bill and his crew can hook you up with your needs and desires. I forgot to add lasershowparts.com (Dave on the forum) is also local to you, he is a great resource!

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

I would start by searching this forum for "projector build" and read each thread through, including all of the members feedback comments. Make some notes, then ask lots of questions about anything that you are not 100% clear about.

The main thing is to do lots of reading and research before you start, so you don't make any silly mistakes like missing an important safety consideration or running out of space for a feature you might want to add later, and having to start over from scratch.
