    Default WANTED: Cheap DAC

    Hi,

I have a couple of lasers and galvo's and i am looking in buying a cheap DAC as i have given up trying to get Soundcard dac's to work correctly.

I am looking to get maybe a Easylase DAC or Riya DAC, As cheap as possible as i am now short on cash.

    i'm looking in the £100 -> £150 mark,

    Any offers,

    Cheers

    Sean

I have some super fast 16 bit bipolar voltage DACS with true 16 bit parallel bus intefaces.

Cant remember the part number right now but they high quality and high stability. Ideal for laser shows
(Will post up laetr part number and spec sheet link)

They only cost me £30 each and I have 8 left as I had to buy 10 just to get 2 for my home build laser show. LOL

You can have 2 of them for £50 posted

Sounds interesting, What software are they compatible with, I am going in the Open Source direction, ie. Spaghetti etc.

I am looking for a easylase / usb adapter, but i might have to get one anyways :-)

Let me know the model etc, and i will have a look,

    Cheers mate

I could sell you one of my kits. Works with Spaghetti, LaserBoy and other sound card based software. PM me if you are interested.

Sorry Sean, What I was offering was just the DAC chips as I assumed you were building your own system from scratch like I did.!

Noting open source, http://sourceforge.net/projects/lfiplayer3d also supports sound card dacs and the source is open. Micheal did a good job writing this software but I would still use all of software available! -Adam

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
