DT-40Pro Questions

I just got my DT-40Pro scanners the other day and after reading the manual, I'm a bit confused.

I can out where everything plugs in, but the only thing that I can't figure out for the life of me is where the pot with three connectors goes. The only place I can figure that they'd plug in is the two pins on the scanner amps that say Position + -, but if they plug in there, what does the third plug connect to? Not sure if this helps, but the only thing that's going to be controlling the projector is the FB3, so do I really even need to connect the pot to the scanners?

Hey Cruch, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

For those of you that don't want to read, the short answer is that if you're using a DAC with differential output, do not connect the pot. The size is controlled via software.
