on my endless search to not pay retail ive found a supplier of light stands.

the stands they have are a max height of 4m, max weight of 60kg each and have a hand winch, price $119US.

retail they are about $249 in aus.

They do look rather good for the money. How expensive is the shipping going to be?

its from china, depends in your choice of carriers and the amounts ordered. its 37kg for 2 minus packaging so i'd be going sea freight. I would say $100US for delivery but thats mostly paper work charges so a group buy of of 4 or 6 would make the shipping affordable.

You could always buy a few extra then stick em on ebay to recover the costs if you cant arrange a group buy. Also non laser lighting guys will also buy these, I have a couple of lighting mates looking at getting some.

Im looking at a group buy for Australia in August.

If you're doing a group buy next month, I'll be in it! Although, unless you're also in Sydney, it's probably cheaper to get separate shipments from China to each city (because unless you have an existing account, domestic truck freight is pretty expensive). Is the same supplier also a cheap source for tri truss or square truss? Best regards, weartronics

for cheap frieght in Aus use packNsend. they are bloody cheap, they use mcphee and tnt so you get a nice rate.
