    Adam,
I am quickly running out of room in my Trans Am. I know I offered to bring my 6x6 FastFold screen, but if it really isn't needed I could use the extra room. Let me know.

    Steve,
How much is the hotel your staying at? I'm thinking I may switch if it is cheep enough. I need to save all the money I can to spen at the swap shop. It looks like there is going to be some great stuff there.

    Cool

    Hi Chris;

No sweat on the fast-fold. If you don't have room, just leave it at home. We can just project on the large sheet of muslin cloth (the cyclorama) at the back of the stage. We've done this before and it works just fine.

In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that it would be better this way, because a 6 x 6 screen would look very small in that large auditorium. Besides, this saves room in your car for more laser toys!

    Thanks Adam,
I really didn't think that my screen would be on stage, or if it was that it would be the only one on the stage. Your right a 6x6 is very small on that stage. After I get the pile-O-stuff togother that I plan to bring, I will revisit the idea of cramming it in. I can tell you though there isn't much room. Those cars wern't built for transporting laser equipment.

It's OK Chris... The more I think about it, the more I realize that it was a dumb idea on my part to ask you to bring it in the first place. My plan was to use it for the LCD projector, but that will still be very small (only 6 x 6), and thus it really won't be all that useful.

I think we'll be much better off using the cyclorama at the back of the stage like we did last year. That works well for both graphics shows *and* the LCD projector.

So don't worry about bringing your screen. Your car is already going to be cramped enough! (Besides, you might need room for the stuff you're going to buy at SELEM! )

Default HOLY CRAP...I am humbled and flattered guys

I just got back from 4 days of boat camping with my daughter (16th birthday) and 9 of her teenage friends come back and read all of this.

I am flying to Texas (DFW) to see my 88 year old dad and 86 year old mom. I leave Portland on the 14 and return on the 24th. Thanks a billion for the offer guys and If I could I would..this trip has been in the plans for a very long time so it cant be changed.

I would enjoy the lasers, but i would be humbled to meet all of you great guys. I plan on buying a laptop and try to tune in if I can.

I may not be there in person, but I'm there in spirit! Have a great LEM!

May be at SELEM 2010! Thanks a billion!

Sorry to hear you can't make it Pat, but as we've said before, Family Comes First! Everyone understands that.

Still, please do keep us in mind for next year. I know I'd *love* to have a good chat with you over a cold beer or two, and I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.

    OK Pat -
Family obligations definitely come first, but you'll have a year to plan for the next one -

SO no excuses for SELEM 2010!!

    Concerning THIS year's presentations -

Since LD v5 just came out, and provided he was interested and could cover it within his scheduled time, I was thinking it might be nice if Bill could give a somewhat-detailed summary of changes/enhancements in this latest version...
