Default Lasers vs iPhone 5 and iPad 3

Leaving the obvious fanboi/hater comments aside....

$1200 for a bit of marketing is not bad I guess, but nevertheless watching these things smoke nice shiny devices seems a little wasteful!

    Indeed,

If only someone had used a "real" laser.. I would have been more impressed if Coherent had done this.. but I guess it demonstrates Wicked lasers demographic..

Thick dark smoke was coming from the ipad, that cannot be very healthy to breath in.

A hell of a lot of views to the videos, cleaver marketing there.

I go down a street daily with lots of unemployed folks out begging and looking for work. That was shameful. Any one of those "have nots" could have used that phone to seek work.
    Shame.

One of the first parties I brought my projector to, some kandi rave hippo was shining a 300mw Wicked pointer into people's faces. Her overly-dialated pupil, giggling excuse? She was "helping to make people smile."

Sadly these people create a bad rep for lasers, I know a lot of people do make a lot of money from pointers but really they should be banned just because they are so dam risky and anyone getting beams in the eye has no choice.

Concert organizers should wake the F up and stop people taking pointers into concerts. Not only is it a public risk it is also a risk to the Laser show operator who could be at the same concert. Imagine if Muse got some eye damage during one of there massive laser shows, and then it turning out to be from a laser pointer. For sure the first to be blamed would be the Laser company.
