Wow, nice compact box, how are the sides that are standing up, connected to the baseplate, i can't see how that is done. I like the 2 level design, but with the possibility of taking it apart.

Thanks! Yes, two if the sides, rear and right are held in place with four allen screws on the top and bottom base plates. As for the other two side panels, just the bottom plate has two screws at the bottom as the top baseplate is smaller than 12X12. I could have machined some studs for them but it seems plenty rigid enough when assembled. The baseplates are held together with some tapped and drilled legs I made on a lathe. The whole top seperates with 4 allen screws and has a long umbillical cord with quick disconnects. It makes taking the projector apart a fairly quick job for emergency repairs. Though, I did build the thing like a tank so I wouldn't have to make repairs often.

    Frito,

I see some resemblance to my projector in your design. I like it. I have the same Pelican case, but got it after I finished my projector, or I would have used it. You are on the right track, keep up the good work.

    Smile LASERJOCK Thanks!

Hey thanks i know that some don't like the idea of the pelican case because it gets hot inside. But im putting 4 strong brush less fans so it should keep the inside cool. Hey Laserjock i really like your set up it looks very clean. is that like some type of disfraction glass you have there, well i really like it . i cant wait till i finish mine, it is hard for me to aligned my diodes w/ the dichros and scanners i been trying for the past 2 days. If i cant do it i guess im going to have to find some one local that i can pay for them to do it i know it sux but im tired and also i dont have any eye protection.

    Frito,
I think you should be fine as long as you keep air moving. My projector has 2 high volume fans blowing across the electronics.

The disk to the right of the scanners is a Lumia wheel. It's just a piece or textured glass mounted to a slow turning motor. It gives you a 3D moving nebula type effect. The black rectangular boxes are GM-20's. They are used to steer the beam to different effects like Lumia. The second GM-20 is to select my Machita diffraction grating. It creates hundreds of beams side by side. I didn't have it installed at the time I took the picture.

    Thank You for the compliments.

    Hi People

Here is a photo of my little collection of Projectors I have amassed together.

    Attachment 9520

On the left is Little Stan with one of the Green twins sat on top. On the right is Old Jem with the other Green twin.

The spec of them are as followed.

    Little Stan.
    750mW RGB.
    Red : 400mW 650nm Laserwave
    Green : 200mW 532nm Laserwave
    Blue : 150mW 473nm Laserwave
    DT40 Pro scanners

    Old Jem.
    700mW RGB.
    Red : 200mW 642nm Laserwave + 250 mW 671nm CNI
    Green : 150mW 532nm CNI
    Blue : 100mW 473nm CNI
    DT40 Pro scanners

    The Twins.
532 nm Greens with DT25s. One has a CNI 150mW doing 250mW+ and the other has a 300mW Laserwave. The CNI for some reason seams to outperform the Laserwave.

Not sure how much current you're drawing with your rig,but you might want to figure-8 coil your feeder cable. knocks out the inductance.

other than that, yes, I am very jealous.
