Hey thanks for the info on the Distro, I pull about 24 amps at full current single phase. I always take all of the cable out of the case when run it. I ran across "issues" the first time I ran it lots of heat!

    Anyhow THANKS!

yeah, that's from the inductance. if you figure 8 your cable, that'll cancel out and you won't have issues. a small figure 8 infront of your cable box will look nice and will keep the casters in place so it doesn't run around on you.

Also, pulling the cable out every time you use it is good practice anyway, it makes it easier to notice damage (should there be any).

    What's with the SLA batteries?

Is it portable? What did you use for an inverter?

Bridge, I absolutely LOVE that plexiglass case, I want one!

Yes, this scanner is portable, it can run from batteries, or from 220v. When it run from 220v, it charge the batteries. The power stage is - 2x 12V 7Ah SLA batteries, Titan 75W power inverter (12V to 220V), battery charging circuit (14V 0.8A mc34063), original LW power supply to galvo drivers (+24V 1.5A(used to charging battery when working from 220V), -24V 1A).
