    Smile Almost done..

    Projector box is pretty much ready now. Some warning stickers, safety shutter and emission indicator shall be added later. Also the laser modules aren't bolted down yet.

    It was quite a challenge to fit all the electronics in the lower half of the box. Turbotrack 2 isn't the smallest amp nowadays and laser drivers & power supplies (especially the lab style PSU for 532nm) took their space as well..

    Default My new baby :-)

    Hey guys

    After a long time of designing, changing the design i,m almost at the end of building my second projector. Actually it looks a lot as my first one but with a lot improvements. Its a double layered design so both sides of the baseplate is being used.
    The case is made out of 4 struth profiles with 2 extra that carry the 10mm thick baseplate. It has an FB3 inside and the scanfail from Gento. It will have an safetycontrolbox connected with an emergency switch and reset. The reset is nessesary when the mainpower is lost and suddenly comes back. In the bottem there are 3 12v 92mm fans that will run quitly at 5v.The powersupplies are TRACO,s and as you can see i have plenty of room for it. The size of the traco,s are 100mm by 51 mm and one of these baby,s can deliver 20amps at 5v. Here,s the PDF

    http://www.tracopower.com/fileadmin/...ets/top100.pdf

    In my very first projector, I built in the FB3. It wasn't very handy.

    USB is limited in cable length ...

    Nice case though

    Yes, thats what I'm told him also, unless you want to control the projector with DMX.

    Lightbulb Finally I'm starting to build my new RGB... (Steve strikes back once more...)

    Hi all guys!

    Long time is past since my last post here on PL Forum...
    I pray all of you to forgive me for so long silence.....
    Many things are happened (nice and not nice...).... but, at the end of all....Here I am once more!
    This is the most important thing: to be together once more on PL

    Well...
    I'm going to share with all of you my last creation: a new RGB projector.

    case's dimensions: 400mm x 300mm x 250mm
    aluminium 2.5mm thickness for outsides, baseplate 6.2mm (I know... maybe could be little thin, but I have well ready a new baseplate 10mm thickness...)

    Setup:
    • 1.3W green LW from Marc *Gottaluvlasers*;
    • waiting for 1W blue 445 Kvant from Martin *Pelosh* ;
    • coming soon: 850-900mW red 640nm from..... surprise! Hungary.....
    • galvos: DT-40 from Marc *Gottaluvlasers*
    • dichros, mounts and bounce mirror from Rob *Stanwax*.
    Total power should be: 1.3+1+0.9=3.2W of greenish white...

    I well know this setup is havy green unbalenced... but there is Pango FB3 that help me... I also know that's shameful to turn down up to 450-500mW the green baby (what shame to loose so much power!)... but at the present my wallet is empty... so I have to use it or... to wait best times....

    I hope to build a nice (at least) 1.5-2W RGB full color.

    Here I want to thank all persons I've mentioned before. They all are wonderful guys.

    I'll keep you informed about progress.

    Enjoy you with some pictures.

    Greetings to all!
    Steve Milani
