hey man thanks a lot. i probably will have a lot of questions on scanners because i really want to make one but i can tell they cost A LOT and im only 15 so i still dont have a job but i still wanna gather enough info for me to know what im doin when i start the project.

Read lots and ask lots of questions and you will learn tons - as Ollie said its a fredindly and helpful place.
