Default Things to do in New York

Right, I'm going to New York on Thursday. This will be my first visit to the US, so I'm quite excited. I don't really have anything planned except going to the Yankees vs Red Sox game on Friday and the Brooklyn brewery. I'm sure I'll find stuff to do, but I was hoping to get some great suggestions from you as well.

My interests are basically lasers (duh, but are there any nice clubs that often use them?), beer, drinking beer, looking at beer being made, making beer, beer drinking girls, food (mmm... barbecue). Well, you get the idea. Enjoying life in a different place.

I'm more interested in really living the city, than just looking at it like a tourist (although some touristy stuff is OK).

Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

I think we'll be hanging out a lot in brooklyn, so any nice pubs, clubs, restaurants and other places you can recommend would be really nice. If you feel like joining us for a night out that'd be really cool. We'll trade beer for some wisdom from a local.

One thing that I'm looking specifically for now is a club that really is party. I want a huge club, with hundreds of people and lots of fancy lighting. Music should preferably be some kind of electronic (but not house), but it's not a must.

Sounds like Times Square in downtown Manhattan!
