Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
It looks like one of those "sprites" that was on a Discovery Channel program...
They seem to be moving objects that a camera seems to pickup...
The side edges look like wavy fins...
[Edit] change "sprites" for "rods"..

Most definitely an iridium satellite/swamp gas/venus in a line with plutos 5th moon etc
TBH i'd call seagull combined with image artifacting. I routinely do 3+ hour sky captures for VJing and have seen some similar movements from birds, however they are usually a more 'ball shape' where as that appears to be a bar shape.
Most non believers won't believe until they're scooped up and taken for a ride, so really pictures/videos will never cut it in the minds of many I guess!
Take a look around you...
Any "green men" from Mars?
Never seen before such a small *flying soucer*
I think it was just a ray of light reflected on the webcam lens![]()

but "rods"..... (edited above)..
Here is a site with a video that shows more of the same... and some theories
of what they may be...

^That's what I was thinking it was..
generally speaking, they are insects or moths that are flying very close to the camera because they are almost always out of focus...The rod shape is an artifact caused by the interlacing or the scan frequency of the camera or the recreation by the television or viewing source...I go with this theory...and I am a F()((%ing conspiracy NUT!!!![]()
