No kidding. I threw my back out of whack just from moving my power supply 3 times over 2 days, and I'm just 18. That's not supposed to happen.

Okay,, Video time! Here's DocJohn and Buffo showing us how it's done. Just a taste of what's going to be on the DVD.

Ugh... I had forgotten about the little "nap" that I took on the loading dock. But yeah, that's my fat ass, lying on the cement. My back was hurting me and I was completely exhausted, so I decided to chill out for a second. Figures that Johnathan would have his camera at the ready... I agree that it's no way for a grown man to behave, but I was really beat and needed a break!

And if you look closely, my shirt says "Time Flies When You are Having Rum", which makes Richard's photoshop job all the more appropriate. (The text of the shirt shows up better on some of the other pics posted above.)

Next year I promise I won't lift any argon power supplies, and for sure I won't be lifting DJMatt's projector! (Damn dude... It's a great projector and all, but it weighs as much as a tank!)

I do think we need to be better organized for next year. This year was not our best, I think, and it's all because we've gotten so big. Next year I'm going to have a committee to help plan and organize things. Aaron has already been placed in charge of networking and live feeds. (He didn't get a choice - I volunteered him for it.) Likewise, I think 300Evil is going to keep his post as master of the video shoot. Other assistants will be drafted, er, I mean requested to help, as we get closer to the event.

The video of the "homo-sapiens RGB laser projector" turned out better than I thought it would. Sometimes it's fun to just act like a fool for a few minutes! (Though I should have changed the batteries in the pointers first... Need to remember that for next year!) Kudo's to DocJohn and his awesome glow-wire ninja suit.

And yeah Richard, it's pronounced "Boof-oh". (It's Greek, remember?) Glad that so many people were able to tune in for the live feed... I promise that next year there will be more laser shows and less "tinkering with stuff with the house lights on"...

    It's a classic SELEM moment!

It speaks volumes about how much awesomeness one has to endure during these events. Sometimes, the awesomeness takes it's toll.

It *was* awesome, wasn't it? If that's the price I have to pay, so be it! (But I still say that next year I'm going to get more sleep!)
