Help with a build..........
Hello to everyone here, i have been observing this site for quite a while, absolutely amazing brains here.
Well, here is my story..................
Me and my friends do small parties, in 2005 i bought a EU Lights dual red HeNe laser (10mw per tube i think) and we set it up way over our dj's head, the built in programs still made the beams go directly at the crowd, i/we did not know there were any risks at all, anyway, the tubes started dying, i was told it was due to the gas or something like that.
Early this year replaced the tubes with a 30mw green diode and a 60mw red diode, looked fantastic with smoke despite the low power, still, we did not know there were any risks.............
Thanks to research that led me here and a few other places i found out eye damage can occur, yet i have seen youngsters pointing laser pointers directly in peoples eyes, stupid.
Now i am waiting for some Scanpro20's to arrive so i can build a system using the same diodes so i can program beam shows only over the crowds head, but i need a dichro, is there a specific one i need for the green/red?
I also bought an NRG DAC, could't be bothered to build one, i only like building Analogue synths and amps etc..............
Any help/info will be appreciated and i apologise my first post is so long.
Thanks
J

You haven't stated where you are located, but due to the NRG ref; I'm guessing the UK?
If so; contact Stanwax aka Rob on this forum. He is the UK and Europe distributor for Laserwave (not to be confused with Laserworld) products. He is very helpful and knowledgable and can supply you with everything that you need.
