    Default Tec controller

I recently picked up a couple of these kits http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/FK934 to try and control a few TEC's. One kit will be used to control a TEC that will be cooling two blu-ray diodes combined with PBS for a scanner. The other kit will be used to control the TEC in a TO-3 635nm diode.

One problem I found is the output is AC and I want to control a DC output. Here is where I found the suggestion to get this kit http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...troller&page=2 post #30.

Another problem I found is this kit uses an IC to detect temperature and I want to use a themsistor inside of a TO-3 diode to control the TEC. I might be able to replace one of the 10k pot's that is used to set the on/off TEMP with the 10K thermsistor inside the TO-3. If anyone has any suggestions to help use this kit for my application that would be great.

    Default Hmm

Yeah I was hoping to not have to start from scratch but that might be the easiest way. Those kits were only $15 but I would still not like that money to have gone to waste. I sent robin an email about getting some TEC drivers from him just to see prices.

i'd be interested in learning more about robin's device (price, availability, etc). i've done a little searching on my own and this looks kind of promising:

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
