I hope not...but I think someone has gotten hurt with something they have assembled...I figured it would be something like this to close this product off. It is really a bit much for the general public. I hope nothing bad has happened though. These things are terribly powerful and bright in another dimension.

At underground events, I make it a point that it is cash on arrival. Or At the very least 50% on arrival. The laser gets switched on when I receive the other 50%.

I occaisonally make a point by sitting somewhere comfortable with a beer or two.

They soon come over with a handfull of door takings.

I suppose what I was trying to demonstrate was that its not always as clear cut and well planned as some people here might have to believe in the world of laser displays. Events DO go on with less than 5k people, without well knowledgable door staff and management (hell, without door staff or management full stop!), without a license, without walls or toilets for that matter... and well, you gotta walk a fine line of keeping some of this stuff sweet, because there are many events going off like this every weekend, and what with lasers (especially some non-green/red ones ) being so cheap these days, lots of people may be well up for doing the job for peanuts - so you have to ensure you aren't putting up too many blockers, whilst still satisfying your own threshold for safe practise (which may be more restrictive than what 'other' people may expect of you on the night....). And of course happy in the knowledge that at least you're doing the job with some knowledge rather than none whatsoever...

... you're forgetting something in the 'equasion', here: the manufacturer of the DIODES... how will they sell these to Co. X, now for, say even $500., when Co. X does a 'search' and sees they can buy them for $50., or less, in ESD-paks, off some 'forum'... Do you 'see the math', here? The 'criers for safety' are-but a drop in the Ocean, in-all this...

And, extrapolate this: 'WLs' blabs to Gizmo, article goes viral, eventually gets back to Nic***, BOD... whom, in all probablity, prepare-to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMEftV6NTpE Ca*** and-who, in-turn, ARE 'studying' WL, Nova, PL, LPF, etc, etc, etc... who you you think has more 'legal muscle' in this scenario? I, for one, wanna 'keep PL' OUT of that equasion, so 'our ship can keep sailing', if-but needing to be 'shored' for a bit...

Really, peeps - IMHO, we should keep ANY and ALL bot and spider-searchable Refs to a certain wavelength and/or manufacturer, ie Ca***, Ni***, etc OFF of PL for 'awhile'.... Or at least, take it 'inside' the IRC Chat room... (great-place to interchange ideas and tips, etc... and it's fun!...

This is not 'speculation', nor 'fearmongering', it's just the facts. Forewarned, is forearmed, and 'Radar' is a GOOD THING, imho...
