At least they'll have cash to pay their lawyers.. but if they're to be held liable, then every optical drive sled manufacturer should be very worried as well.. as should every hobbyist be in fear that we may one day be unable to harvest laser diodes at all. It only takes two people to screw it up for everyone: one person to do something stupid, and another to run screaming to the authorities demanding that we all be protected from ourselves. They each share equal blame for the loss of a good thing.
