It does not have modulation as of right now, however, if you want to pay the $3200 price, I will include a 120A driver which can modulate based on a 0-5V signal.

You are going to have stability problems if you modulate that diode......better stick with an AOM. BTDT.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it does start to have some rise and fall time issues, but when run at 1.2khz using an SDL-928, the rise and fall time is very minimal when viewed on a scope, better then that of the blue Laserwave I had.

These projectors are using modulated half note's. I would be interested to hear if Simon has problems with instability..

There is no reason why this laser would modulate any worse then a comparable DPSS system from a company such as Laser-Wave. It is more thermally stable, the head is a solid pound of stainless, so temperature will not change by much when you modulate it, and even at that, it will keep the diode temperature constant regardless of the modulation. The KTP is also not an issue, it is in an actively controlled heater with a feedback loop and everything. The laser output can easily be controlled with the diode current.

How about $2600 shipped for the laser, with new driver, and replacement pump diode? I'll even include a power meter to measure the power with

Here are a couple of pictures I took of a similar system (this it the one that Simon ended up with). They are really nice, compact, easy to maintain systems.

Sorry for asking, but what does Half note mean or does.
