I honestly don't know. I would assume that it was the internal name for the laser when it was at lightwave.

I am not going to go that low. I would rather keep it once I get to that price.

Is it a strong design? If I build it in a projector will it survive a lot of traveling in a flightcase?

Also is it easy to remove the Big heatsink so I can fiit in a smaller projector?

Actually, it is probably more robust them most laser systems out there. This was designed to go into a medical laser which would be carried around by a doctor, thus exerting a lot of shock on it. Additionally, the optical plate is mounted vertically meaning the optics would be subjected to lateral forces. The optics are soldered meaning it is really difficult to knock them out of alignment, I wouldn't drop the laser, but I would think it could take it.

As for the heatsink, that is the heaviest part of the entire system. I could remove it if you would like and it would probably cut the shipping cost in half. You could use a pair of CPU heatsinks like the stock ones from AMD processors to cool it. I think I have a couple of them I could include.

Even with your past transgressions I want this beasty, but I got a Kvant to pay for... It will be tying up any and all of my laser budget for, based on the statement... years. I got a set of DT40s that this would go well with.
