Cool Electronic music festival AuqaBeatz 2009 in Slovakia

We did one event last week, one electronic music festival called AquaBeatz. I think some of you might like to see some photos...

It was completely controlled using Fiesta.NET over Wi-Fi using standard notebook wireless antenna. I was walking among the crowds with my laptop to test the stability and I was doing live show - was quite fun, especially because some of the guys there asked me, why I need to check my emails at party ... enjoy the photos.

You can also find some more photos at http://www.showtacle.com/Shows/AquaBeatz2009/index.html .

4W 532nm, 45kpps scanners. They are not so powerful for outside, but they have quite thick beam with quite good divergence. I was quite surprised, they were so good visible.

You can see the laser here behind the guys: http://websound.eu/foto/1162-77 .

There is Fiesta.NET with Wi-Fi access point in that blue bag. The event was outside, so we had to cover it.

Well, 4W should be powerful enough for a big outdoor event, as long as you have good smoke machines.

What did you use for smoke?

I'm doing an outdoor festival this saturday with 2x 5W 532nm OPSL and 2 MDG3000 machines + 2 ZR33 machines from the stage, all with a big fan, quite a "default" festival kit. One MDG3000 at FOH position, one MDG at best position depending on the wind direction and 2 ZR33 from the stage.

    Looks like Kvant?

Nice, hehe. What access point do you use?

Well we were providing only laser systems without smoke for this event. The lightning guys used some Antari machines. I don't like them personally, because in my experience they love to write "Warming UP" when you need them most and you're done...

We've used some D-Link router for this stage. They are one of the best in our experience. But we've used also some Asus WL-??? for less than 30 EUR. And it was also working quite well on another stage (sometimes frame rate was a bit lower - quite nice effect by the way ).

The laser is not from Kvant. We wanted to try to build some systems for our show of our own. And this is one of them.
