    Default 30k Budget Scanners...opinions please!

Hi all, well I've been out of this game for a while, but just couldn't stay away, so have been contemplating some new projectors.
Just seen a couple of budget priced 30K scanners on ebay and wondered if anyone had experience of these or would like to give me their 2 pence worth. Ideally I'm looking to make a couple of projectors to run together. not sure about sigle colour or multi yet, but mainly want them for beam shows but also with the option to do decent text with some graphics.

the 1st scanners I saw are from Lasershowparts.au, I know these guys are great but see they do 2 types of 30K and was looking to see any ones opionions on the cheaper type:

    the second was here: http://tinyurl.com/lr3bn6

    Any opinons appreciated,

    Mazz

lasershowparts is great. i think most would probably steer you toward their scanPRO ssystems though.

they are still economically priced, and they come with better mirrors. i am sure there are more differences that others will point out.

scanpro40ks or 30ks are both good systems. DT40 systems (sold by a member on here "DZ") are also excellent systems!

First set looks like spacelas scanners.. and the second are Z30's which i own as well. I like'm and considering a second pair for a new projector.

They do require some tuning as they are a bit noisy out of the box.

All you need to know about the ScanLSP30's is here: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=8660

Buffo did an excellent review of them...

I use ScanPro 40's and they absolutely rock... They scan wide, accurate and very quiet...

    Hey Mazz,

I just replied to your message on eBay. Ill write a bit here as well.

These scanners are proving extremely reliable and are great value for money. For a pair of beam projectors, you cant go wrong, as the max scan angle is 70 degrees!

Found the manufacturer of the second type, for a budget version and because I want to make 2 projectors I think I may make the plunge with these!
