Default Pangolin showtime live workspace creation

    Hi everyone,

new here on the forum, building 2 pieces 1W greenies.
Currently i have pangolin LD2000 intro running on 1 projector, 2nd is being build.

I want to build a nice live workspace, how can i do this in a quick way? I can find no cues only frame files. So, using frames, it will take months to build a good live workspace? Can this go in a more quick way?

Maybe somebody has a nice live workspace and wants to share it?

    Thanks in advance!

Are you definately wanting LiveQuick workspaces?, if so I don't know where you could find workspaces, but it should be easy enough to put what you want together as it's quite a simple program.

There are quite a few workspaces knocking around for LivePRO though

Glenn Turner's springs to mind (providing you are outside Australia)...

Showtime Live! and LivePRO are 2 different pieces of software Jem..

To build a quick Live! workspace, I would suggest going thru the beam shows in showtime, and picking sequences out..

    Dave,

    thanks for the reply.
Is there a way to save the sequences so i can combine them form different shows?

Also i can only seem to save frames, not frames together as a sequence..

There's a very good workspace for Showtime:Live! that you can find if you look in:
    LD2000\Shows\Beams\LiveShow.shs

If you look in this folder using Windows Explorer, you will also notice a text file and JPEG.

This workspace (actually show) was made by Glenn Turner, before we came out with LivePRO. The JPEG shows you Glenn's idea of how zones would be setup and used, and the text file discusses the philosophy of the workspace.

    Best regards,

Doh... Yep, that's what I get for typing without putting brain into gear

I did of course mean Showtime live, why did I type LiveQuick? Right, i'm now off to check myself into the home for the terminally bewildered

    Default Glenn Turner - workspaces

    Hi,

    Finally Ive joined photo lexicon!

Ive heard about some posts relating to Livepro and workspaces, now Im here I can answer some questions.

Theres been discussions about my workspaces being provided for users only "outside australia". This is because the workspace is really a vital component in determining the quality of a lasershow or more importantly the difference between suppliers. I have spent many years developing cues that are unique to the name "Oracle". It is important that I protect my business and its employees by only enabling specific workspaces for people outside australia. I hope you understand.

There is also the discussion about "how do users get the most out of livepro without showing them in a workpsace". This is also true, I think many users dont know how to use Livepro to its maximum advantage like I do and I DO want everyone to get the most out of it, but it is "comforting" to know that it takes time to become a professional operator and with time comes knowledge. If everyone had the same lasers, same controllers, same workpsaces then theres no comparison between companies and the end result would be clients playing one off the other for cheaper pricing and lasershows would reduce in value.

Also, I think its important that users create their own workspace from scratch. This way each user ends up with different cues which is more interesting for our audiences. Lets say for example, if there was only one painter in the world then every picture on everyones wall would be similar. The more painters the more creativity evolves and the more interesting things to see.

So, I think its important that everyone using livepro learn all its functions and create their own masterpiece and keep laser shows interesting.

Therefore, here I am to answer any questions relating to creating cues or general questions about livepro.

    Hi Glenn!

Really glad to see you here. Also glad that you're willing to answer LivePro questions. (Prepare for a flood of questions though!)

    Welcome to the forums sir.
