    Default More selem issues.

Would whomever who accidentially borrowed both rolls of my 60/40 tin lead solder from SELEM please PM me so I can send you a shipping address.

Thats about 45$ worth of solder plus shipping to replace, and I am not a happy camper when I needed it at the day job today. Good flux core solder is hard to come by in Ft Wayne. You'll know its mine because it is like .030 diameter, say equal to #24 wire on the one roll, the other is big. I'm a day behind on a project, and the bossman is not happy, as he gave my desk roll to our field crew.

    Thanks,

    Steve Roberts

I'm missing a 10 Watt RGB laser system and I expect everybody to pool together to replace it if it doesn't turn up! I mean really, we are a community right?

That really did look funny didn't it? Where else would you see three multiple watt (rated, at least) laser heads just sitting on a loading dock?

I'm missing an allen key and a bunch of 6-32 screws in a small ziplock bag. Not very important but the allen key was part of a nice set and I would like to have it back. Please let me know if anyone finds it.
    Thanks!

Well, I'm missing 3 colored t-handle allen wrenches from the SAE set that was being used on the long table in the hallway near the power room. It's not that big of a deal though, since Harbor Freight has the entire set for $7...

Really guys - losing a couple small items isn't that big of a deal. It happens at meets all the time. Losing a $80 pointer or a $150 hammer drill is another matter - both because of the cost and, in the case of the hammer drill, the sheer size of the item.

I don't think there was any foul play involved in the missing solder or the allen keys. I'd *like* to think that there wasn't any foul play involved in the missing pointer either. (It's small enough that it could have rolled into a box which was then thrown in the trash.) But the missing hammer drill is pretty hard to play off as an accident. Still, it could have been taken by one of the people from the venue.

I think next year we'll all need to pay more attention to who comes and goes, and we also need to label our gear.

    I agree.

And considering the level of security of the stuff I work on, and the extensive monitoring of my offsite activities and my credit card, I don't go to selem to See "Big Buffo is Watching You!" posters.

I dont need badges, and passwords, and friend lists, need to know, the two man rule, and NDAs to go to selem, I have plenty of that here. The boss sited the plant in his own back yard and we have IR/vis perimeter both active and passive and multispectral and motion radar, and a phone line monitoring service. I'm sure he can see this as I type.

I am heartened by the fact that one SELEMer wants to mail me a 050 allen and that one of my solder rolls is coming back.

This Sony battery charger was left in the hallway on the Ion lasers table. PM me and I'll ship it to you.
